SYLLABI STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATIONS
Having effected the corrections recommended by the Board of the Faculty of Arts, the Sub-Department was informed of the need to to hold stakeholder consultations on the dpropsed revised syllabi. At a meeting held April 4, 2013, after determining the list of stakeholders to be invited, the Sub-Department proposed the month of July 2013 as the tentative period for the stake holder consultations.
COLLABORATION WITH THE SCINCE PO UNIVERSITY OF FRANCE
Mr.Smith who visited the Sub-Department in the month of June 2013, is due to return to the Unversity of Nairobi and will hol further discussions with the Sub-Department of French.
MEMBERSHIP OF “AUF” TO BE SOUGHT
The Sub-Department intends to encourage the University of Nairobi to take up membership of theAssociation of Frencophone Universities in order to take advantage of the benefits that go with that membership. The benefits cover such areas as student and staff exchange programmes.
CERFRUNA OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
The yet-to-be-concluded agreement between the French Club of the University of Nairobi, CERFRUNA, and TATUA, a Community Based Organisation (CBO) has as its major objective, to offer free French classes to students being assisted by the CBO.
